Welcome to Shopmobility Lochaber, servicing the Highlands of Scotland, we are located in Fort William. We are proud to be part of The Scottish Federation of Shopmobility, a network of individually funded charity schemes providing assorted wheelchairs, scooters and escorts to people with mobility problems. Located at the train station and beside Safeway we are easily accessible to everyone. If you need help getting to an appointment , sight seeing, shopping or just to get out, we have just the equipment to assist you. We offer three or four wheel scooters, and wheelchairs. Our scooters are maintained regularly and offer you the highest preformance. An average scooter will take you approximately 10 miles depending upon your weight and the number of hills that must be climbed. You should return to the office when the light goes to the half mark. We do not charge our clients a flat fee we only ask for donations. You can reserve our equipment for as long as needed. We offer both long and short term rentals. Both are for donations. We ask that you give as much as you can for this service to help us keep operating under these terms. We don't want to have to start setting prices for people to use our equipment. We will ask you to register with us before letting our equipment go. It is a very simple process we ask for your name, address, phone number and the type of equipment that you use. This helps us determine which equipment we will need to purchase. Before leaving you will be given full training in the operation of all equipment. We will also provide you with an escort to show you how to get around shops and road rules. |
